The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors has granted several college faculty promotions and approvals for tenure:

  • Promotion to professor: Carola Haas, fish and wildlife conservation
  • Tenure at rank of professor: Kevin Edgar, sustainable biomaterials
  • Promotion to associate professor with tenure: M. Chad Bolding, forest resources and environmental conservation; Sarah Karpanty, fish and wildlife conservation
  • Promotion to associate professor and Extension specialist with tenure: John Munsell, forest resources and environmental conservation
  • Tenure at rank of associate professor and Extension specialist: Urs Buehlmann, sustainable biomaterials
