The newest cohort of CNRE ambassadors is on board and ready to spread the good word about this great college. A group of 24 new ambassadors joined those still serving in that role for a training session on Saturday. This is the largest group of newbies the program ever brought aboard, pulled from the largest group of applicants to try for the positions. The ambassadors are an absolutely essential part of our college’s recruitment efforts, helping out with daily info sessions Monday thru Friday, going to one-on-one lunches with prospective students, writing postcards and making phone calls to all admitted students, helping out at multiple open house weekends, staffing booths at college fairs and majors fairs, as well as helping staff a wide variety of other college events such as the awards banquet, career fair, etc. Their cumulative efforts total more than 2,000 volunteer hours in service to our college each year.
