The Virginia Community College Geospatial Institute will be held on July 24th - 30th, 2010 on the campus of Virginia Tech. The Geospatial Institute is providing intensive training to 17 Community College fulltime faculty and 4 high school (dual enrollment) educators. Workshop participants will receive a $1000 stipend, accommodations, and teaching materials and resources.

This workshop is a component of a larger project that is being funded through the NSF / ATE in partnership with the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, the Virginia Community College System, Virginia Western Community College, John Tyler Community College, Tidewater Community College, and Virginia Tech.

A follow-up, 7-day workshop intensive geospatial workshop will be scheduled for the summer of 2011.
