YingLei Huang

Major: Civil and Environmental Engineering

Expected Graduation Date: May 2017

  • Minor: Green Engineering

My name is YingLei Huang, and I am a senior in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I mainly focus on the environmental and water resource aspects of the Civil Engineering and have a minor in Green Engineering. Sustainable infrastructure construction and water treatment processes are my favorite subjects. By taking courses such as Construction Management and Intro to Green Engineering at Virginia Tech, I have a basic understanding of the internal structures of a building and the principals of sustainability.  I am also a member in Chi Epsilon, a national Civil Engineering honor society; National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), an honor society in Virginia Tech and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). There are wide range of problems in the modern society, such as air and water pollution. This is the reason why I focused on environmental studies, to make the city a better place for people to live in. I am seeking a company that will let me achieve my goal towards environmental sustainability. My strengths include commitment, dedication and passion to protect environment from any man-made disaster.
