Undergraduate Student

Joselyn Carballo

Majors: Psychology + Biology

Expected Graduation Date: May 2017

My name is Joselyn Carballo, and I am a senior majoring in psychology and biology. I am currently the president of SACNAS, which is a group that focuses on the professional advancement of minorities in the sciences. I have also been involved in Latin Link for the past three years.

I want to pursue a career in public health because I would like to help people in low socioeconomic communities that suffer the pitfalls of healthcare and pollution the most. I’m currently applying to graduate programs in public health with a concentration in health policy and behavior. My dream job would consist of creating and implementing programs that help reduce pollution and improve the access to healthcare in underserved communities.
