Undergraduate Student

Josh Levine

Major: Civil Engineering with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering

Expected Graduation Date: December 2016

  • Minors: Green Engineering + History + Leadership Studies

I am a Virginia Tech student studying Civil Engineering with minors in Green Engineering, History, and Leadership Studies. Outside of academia, I develop my abilities as a leader and a team player in several organizations including the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, Army ROTC, the Society of American Military Engineers, and FarmHouse Fraternity. I also consider language an important aspect to my professional development. I study Spanish and have studied abroad in Spain, but I hope to learn at least one additional language at some point later in my life.

Upon graduation, I will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant into the U.S Army where I hope to serve in the Engineer Regiment so that I can build and support infrastructure for not only the United States but for our allies and for those who require humanitarian assistance as well. However, after 4-5 years in the U.S Army I plan to transition into the private sector where I hope to work in the design and construction industry, specifically in a large international firm that has a strong stance on sustainability and ethics.
