Virginia Tech's Office of International Research, Education, and Development is engaged in a long-term project with The Nature Conservancy of Bolivia. Part of this work entails the promotion of non-timber forest products in the Bolivian (Amazonian) lowlands. I have been working with my colleague Dr. Tom Hammett in Wood Products in these efforts, as well as several Bolivian colleagues including Drs. Zulema Lehm and Juan Mattos.
