Chris Stubbs (’91) named national battlefield superintendent


Feb. 1, 2017 – Chris Stubbs (’91 M.S. forestry), an experienced resource manager, has been named superintendent of Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick, Maryland.

Since 2009, Stubbs has served as chief of resources management at Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, where he worked closely with the C&O Canal Trust to advance the award-winning Canal Quarters program. He had previously served as the acting superintendent of the Manassas National Battlefield Park in Virginia.
