Mallory Martin (’83) named South Atlantic LCC coordinator


Feb. 15, 2016 – Mallory Martin (’83 M.S. fisheries science) is the new coordinator of the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC), upon his retirement as chief deputy director of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Martin started his career as a fish culturist at the Armstrong State Fish Hatchery, rising through the agency ranks to become chief deputy director in 2008. He became the South Atlantic LCC’s first steering committee chair in 2011 after having represented North Carolina in the formation of the cooperative. In 2013, he was appointed as a charter member of the LCC Council, representing the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.
