Gina Felter (’94) named principal of outdoor school

Nov. 13, 2015 – Gina Felter (’94 B.S. wildlife science) was named principal of the Carroll County (Md.) Outdoor School. Felter, who had previously been a teacher at the school, has been with the Carroll County Public Schools for 17 years in a variety of teaching and administrative positions.

Nearly every sixth-grader in the school system attends the Outdoor School, the county’s residential environmental school, for five days and four nights. The school also serves as a resource for every school in the county, providing environmental science training and resources.

In addition to bachelor’s degrees in wildlife science and pre-veterinary medicine from Virginia Tech, Felter holds a master’s degree in teaching from Towson University.
