Brian Carey (’00) named conservation director


Aug. 15, 2015 – Brian Carey (’00 B.S. fisheries science) has been named conservation director for the town of Fairfield, Connecticut. He formerly served as the conservation superintendent in nearby Stratford. He initiated Stratford’s first Brownfield program, which has received more than $4 million in federal and state funding since its inception in 2011. He previously worked for Arcadis Inc. as a senior staff scientist.

As a lifelong Fairfield resident, Carey said being offered the job is a “dream come true.”
