Forestry Molecular Genetics, Genomics & Biotechnology
We welcome highly qualified graduate students with an interest in using current molecular techniques to uncover new fundamental and applied knowledge in forest genetics. We work in a highly collaborative setting and participate in mulitiple interdisciplinary advanced degree programs. - poplar genomics
- genetic control of flowering, dormancy, and branching
- conifer somatic embryogensesis
- genetic improvement of loblolly pine
- genetic control of wood development
- development of high-value woody crops
