Thesis Title: The Implementation of GIS Technology in Urban Flood Dynamic Simulation Model
Thesis Summary: To compute and analyze the urban flood and disaster loss accurately and timely, a computer simulation program which is physically based on distributed hydrodynamic model and GIS technology was developed. Moreover, the viability of the GIS/Flood Model linkage in a microcomputing environment was tested and validated in a case study area in China.

Dissertation Topic: The Development and Application of a Two-Dimensional Morphological
Model to Smith River Tailwater
Dissertation Summary:
  1. Comparison between one-dimensional model (PHABSIM) and two-dimensional model (RMA-2V)
  2. Study the relationship between spatially complex flow patterns and
    brown trout spawning activities
  3. Unsteady flow analysis with one-dimensional model (HEC-RAS) and
    two-dimensional model (RMA-2V)
  4. The influence of unsteady flow to sediment transport (SED-2D)
