Employer Information

Check In 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.
Breakfast pastries, fresh seasonal fruit, and beverages. 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.
Career Fair Opens 10:00 a.m.
Lunch 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon Break 3:00 p.m.
Career Fair Ends 4:00 p.m.
Take Down of Displays 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Table/Display Set Up

Each employer will be provided with one 8' x 6' booth space and up to four chairs. Please check your requirements on the registration form. A table linen will be provided, but you may bring your own as you feel necessary. Any materials or display hardware delivered to Cheatham Hall will already be located at your booth.

Following registration you will be assigned a number which will correspond with the number of your assigned space in Owens Hall. The banquet room is located on the second floor and can be accessed by the stairs leading up to the second floor or by the elevator (right side of the building toward the Drillfield) which is located on the ground level to the right of the stairs. Student Ambassadors wearing maroon shirts will be available to direct you. In addition, directional signs will be displayed.

Ship any materials / display hardware to Susan Higgins. Contact information is on the right.

Unloading of Materials

If you choose to transport your own materials and would like assistance, CNRE (student) Ambassadors will greet you at the Kent Street side of Owens and will direct you to the elevator side of Owens, where they will help you unload your vehicle. The Ambassador will take your materials to your booth while you are parking your vehicle.

Take Down of Displays

4:00-5:00 p.m.

Please do not remove displays before 4:00 p.m. Displays must be removed from by 5:00 p.m.

Interviewing

Friday, September 30, 2016

Locations for interviewing will be assigned as requested on registration form. Final schedules will be available at check in. If you did not request interviewing space on the registration form, and need it, please email CNRE Career Fair or call (540) 231-5482.

Parking / Maps / Directions

Parking is allowed in F/S/V designated areas only. DO NOT park in Owens lot as it is designated for Faculty/Staff ONLY. The best place to park will be Squires Lot or the Architecture Annex Lot. There is some parking on Kent Street and alongside the Drillfield on Kent Street. The Drillfield parking will fill up quickly unless you are there early.

A parking pass, maps, and detailed directions will be mailed to the address specified on the registration by at least one week prior to the event. In addition, passes will be available at check in. You must park in the designated area/s and display your parking pass or you will be ticketed.

From Interstate 81:
Take Exit 118 (Christiansburg/Blacksburg) onto U.S. Rt. 460 West Bypass towards Blacksburg/Virginia Tech. Take the Virginia Tech exit (VA 314 East/Southgate Drive). At the stop light on Southgate Drive, stay straight and take the next left onto Beamer Way. This will take you past Lane Stadium (on the right). Turn right onto Washington Street. At the next stop sign, turn left onto Kent Street.

Cancellation

Cancellation by emailing CNRE Career Fair

  • Up through Friday, Sept. 9, 2016: Full Refund of $150.00
  • No Refund after Friday, Sept. 9, 2016

Event Cancellation

In the unlikely circumstance that this event is cancelled due to insufficient registrations or unforeseen circumstances, the university will refund your $150 registration fee, but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
