Travis Hardy

Travis Hardy has more than 10 years of experience in all aspects of business development, geospatial technology, and Federal information policy. Mr. Hardy currently serves as an Assistant Vice President for Business Development to the Geospatial Intelligence Operation at SAIC - a FORTUNE 500® company. There he is responsible for providing leadership to support business strategy development related to SAIC’s geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) products and service offerings.

Mr. Hardy has made career applying his unique skill sets to research geospatial technologies; align that technology to meet mission requirements to develop cost effective geospatial solutions that help his customers ensure longer term programmatic success. He has been published in the Manual of Geospatial Science and Technology - Second Edition and previously provided full-time technical and management contract support services to the Department of Homeland Security’s Geospatial Management Office in Washington D.C.

Mr. Hardy began his commercial career in the geospatial industry with Esri, Inc. where he ultimately became the Special Assistant to the Director for Policy and Public Sector Strategies.

Travis studied GIS and Remote Sensing at Virginia Tech, where in 2001, he earned a bachelor of arts in geography as well as a minor in business. Since that time he has gone on to serve as President of the Alumni Board of Directors to the College of Natural Resources and Environment. In 2010 he was recognized for his service to the University by the Virginia Tech Alumni Association as the ‘Outstanding Recent Alumnus’ for the College of Natural Resources. In 2011, Mr. Hardy earned his master of science in engineering management from the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
