About VFLEP's Short Courses
- an award-winning series of classroom and web-based courses for forest landowners and other interested in the sustainable management of Virginia's forest and wildlife resources;
- all courses in the series emphasize the benefits of professional assistance, management planning, water quality and soil protection, wildlife habitat protection, and sustainable forestry practices;
- landowners learn practical forestry and wildlife management principles and techniques that can be applied to their woodlands;
- most classes include an in-woods, hands-on field component;
- short courses are sponsored and taught by local professionals from numerous natural resource agencies;
- both face-to-face and on-line classes are available
